Well!! My trip to Brighton was quite exciting!! It’s been almost a year since I saw the BEACH, after having lived right next to it back home!! Yet the interesting part of the trip was the ‘Coastal graphics’, ‘Vintage shops’, ‘Deck chairs’ and ‘Swimwear’: all right out WGSN SwimLife trends.

Looks like a ‘Holiday Postcard’ that I could have posted from there. It was quite bright and sunny that day, not to say very vibrant as well.
The ‘Vintage shop – Coastal Collections, Brighton’ selling old toy car models, London toy buses, old cards set, stamp (anybody interested in philately), old British currency and coins and old World Cup football magazines. It was quite an interesting assortment of items on sale, very collectible and yet very common.
Another interesting coastal graphic signage that could easily made onto the covers of packaging and T-shirt graphics with florals, umbrellas and flip flops added. The vibrant , bold stripes on deck chairs remind me of the WGSN Coastal Life Trends….
Incorporated in Nautical life with stripe tees, sailor jackets and navy pants to top with gold anchor buttons, this trend has trickled across accessories range with anchor pendant chains, bold stripe bags with rope handles and not to forget the flips flops.
Well, I didn’t wanna stay behind the trend and yet wanted to maintain my own individual style (a cliché statement that all designers use). So, here I am dresses in a ‘Coastal – Pastel’ look!!
White schiffley bustier top with pastel blue shorts from Indian Terrain (India), accessoried (or excessorised!!) with multicolour pastel layered beaded neckpiece and lacy wedges (New Look) and a great functional handbag (Agnes B). Yes, I do have a good old pair of shades (sunglasses) from ‘FastTrack’!! The only thing missing was a nice, straw hat to beat the heat. So, here I am trying out hats on the Brighton beach!!
